Presenting at Expo 2020: use of mobile phone data in disaster contexts
With the colleagues of the UN Committee of Experts on Big Data and Data Science for Official Statistics (UN-CEBD) Mobile Phone Data Task Team (TT) Ayumi Arai will be presenting at “Mobilizing Big Data and Data Science for the Sustainable Development Goals”, happening in Dubai, UAE, on 25th – 27th January 2022. This is part of a three-day event at Expo 2020 organized by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre (FCSC) of the UAE together with the UN-CEBD welcoming the world to explore data science and big data.
She will be presenting the use of mobile phone data in disaster contexts by introducing the Displacement and Disaster Statistics Handbook compiled by the TT where The University of Tokyo is leading the Subgroup of Displacement and Disaster Statistics.
